2nd hole in one of the 2011 season

Mike McGuire of Bath Maine recorded the second ace of the season Friday August 12th!  Playing the 16th hole from the white tees Mike struck his Bridgestone 330 with a 9 iron.  Mike is a member at the Bath Country Club and was playing in the Down East Lab Invitational.  The staff at the golf club would like to congratulate Mike on his hole in one!

1st SRGC Hole in One of 2011

Joe Colucci of Saco, Maine hit a perfect 6 iron from 164 yards (Blue tees) on the 6th at the Sunday River Golf Club.  The Titleist NXT he hit did not need help from the golf gods......it slammed straight in the jar!  Joe's second career hole in one was witnessed by his playing partner Stephen Asher of Wilmington, North Carolina.  Congratulations to Joe from the staff at the Sunday River Golf Club!

Private Golf Lessons at SRGC

If you would like to improve your game or work on a specific skill, sign up for a private lesson.

The cost for a 30 minute lesson is $40 or an hour lesson is $70.

For multiple lessons, you can sign up for a series of three half hour lessons for $110 or a series of three one-hour lessons for $180.

Open for the Season!

Sunday River opened for the season today to bluebird skies and golden sunshine-- our inaugural golfers were Members Peter Phelps and David Powell. Messrs. Powell and Phelps both put their first shots squarely into the middle of the first fairway-- an auspicious start to the year here at the Club. The season is off and away-- are YOU on the tee sheet?

After 50 years...A Hole in One!

On October 6, 2009, Joe Martin from the Woodlands Club in Falmouth, Maine recorded his first ever hole in one! Joe hit his spectacular shot on our signature hole #4, playing 147 yards. A 6 iron was used to achieve this amazing feat and was witnessed by friends Greg, Bob and Sam. Joe, congratulations on playing golf for 50 years and finally catching that elusive ace!

Another Ace At Sunday River!

Bob White, an avid golfer from Moultonborough,NH recorded an ace on the 142 yard Par 3 16th today. Ed's hole in one shot was played from the Blue tees at Sunday River with his 6iron. His shot was made with a PRECEPT golf ball. The Sunday River Golf Club staff congratulates Bob for his amazing feat. Well done!

The Lens of Larry Lambrecht

Early in October, we brought in professional golf photographer Larry Lambrecht to capture Sunday River in all its Autumn glory. Larry has shot courses all over the world-from New England to the Emerald Isles. Top 100 You Can Play!

We are pleased to announce Golf Magazine has recently rated our Sunday River Golf Club in the "Top 100 Courses You Can Play".  We debuted the list at #88  along with two other Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed courses: Chambers Bay Golf Course(#8) and Osprey Meadows at Tamarack Resort(#79). This great accolade is yet another indication of Sunday River Golf Club's growth and success in the golf industry.

SRGC: #1 COURSE IN MAINE... AGAIN

We are thrilled to again be honored by Golfweek Magazine-- for the third year in a row, Sunday River Golf Club has been ranked the #1 course in Maine in Golfweek's annual "Best Courses You Can Play" list! And again, we're proud to be listed with the other great courses in our state. Every year, the golf just gets better here in the northeast corner of the US! Watch for the issue to be published in early to mid-May.

SRGC TOP SIX

We have just received word that Golf Digest has listed Sunday River Golf Club in the top six courses in the United States on their "Best New Upscale Courses" list for 2006. Sunday River is listed with the likes of Redstone Golf Club, Osprey Meadows Golf Club and other prestigious clubs. You can find the article in the current Golf Digest or view it online. AS SEEN ON TV

Dave Eid, sportscaster for WGME Channel 13 of Portland, visited the Sunday River Golf Club recently. Clearly saving the best for last, he was filming the final installment in his summer series called "Par 13". All summer long, Dave has travelled to outstanding Maine golf courses, talking to staff and golfers about what makes a great track. Director of Golf Jeff Bickford and owner Dick Harris each had some camera time... but the real stars were the golf and the mountains.

The Robb Report's annual "Best of the Best" issue has been published for 2006-- and we're pleased to see Sunday River Golf Club on the list! We were one of only 8 courses worldwide to make the list, and one of only 2 locales in New England to be featured anywhere in the magazine.

T & L Golf Top Ten in the World!

American Express's Travel & Leisure Golf, one of the world's most respected and widely-read golf publications, has named Sunday River Golf Club as one of the Top Ten Best New Courses of 2005! The list was made up of golf clubs from Canada, Europe and the US. SRGC was noted for its playability and spectacular, scenic views.We are proud to be listed among such worthy facilities as Bandon Dunes in Oregon, The Hills Club in Sweden, Bond Head in Ontario and Stone Eagle Club in California.
