News from the Sunday River Golf Club

THE TWELFTH HOLE Spring has returned!

THE MAINE PASS AVAILABLE

It's a great season so far-- we've had more golfers than ever who have found out why Sunday River Golf Club is such a spectacular golf experience. Our "Maine Pass" is still available, but only until June 30th. Don't miss your chance to play Sunday River anytime this season for only $80!

SRGC: #1 COURSE IN MAINE... AGAIN

We are thrilled to again be honored by Golfweek Magazine-- for the third year in a row, Sunday River Golf Club has been ranked the #1 course in Maine in Golfweek's annual "Best Courses You Can Play" list! And again, we're proud to be listed with the other great courses in our state. Every year, the golf just gets better here in the northeast corner of the US! Watch for the issue to be published in early to mid-May.

ANOTHER SEASON BEHIND US...

...and what a season it was! As of October 21st, Sunday River Golf Club has officially called the 2007 season. The weather was nothing short of miraculous-- sunny days after sunny days with just enough rain here and there to keep things lush. And foliage throughout Maine was particularly brilliant this year, as was evidenced by the fact that it was tough to get on the tee sheet for September or October at Sunday River! We're now buttoning up the course and looking forward to 2008. Thanks to all who made it a great year at Maine's #1-ranked golf course!

SRGC TOP SIX

We have just received word that Golf Digest has listed Sunday River Golf Club in the top six courses in the United States on their "Best New Upscale Courses" list for 2006. Sunday River is listed with the likes of Redstone Golf Club, Osprey Meadows Golf Club and other prestigious clubs. You can find the article in the current Golf Digest or view it online. We are honored to part of this list!

AS SEEN ON TV

Dave Eid, sportscaster for WGME Channel 13 of Portland, visited the Sunday River Golf Club recently. Clearly saving the best for last, he was filming the final installment in his summer series called "Par 13". All summer long, Dave has travelled to outstanding Maine golf courses, talking to staff and golfers about what makes a great track. Director of Golf Jeff Bickford and owner Dick Harris each had some camera time... but the real stars were the golf and the mountains.

A Picture is worth... a free round of golf

By all accounts, Sunday River Golf Club has to be one of the most photogenic golf courses in the Northeast. Some of our best and most often-used pictures have come from amateur photographers-- from guys on the construction crew when the course was built to daily-play golfers who just have a good eye. So we urge you to submit YOUR best picture to our "Photo Above the Rest" contest. Once a week, we'll pick a winner who will receive a free round of golf-- and of course, great praise from all. Download our Photo Contest Rules for all the details you need, plus the form that must be filled out and accompany your image.

Best of the Best!

The Robb Report's annual "Best of the Best" issue has been published for 2006-- and we're pleased to see Sunday River Golf Club on the list! We were one of only 8 courses worldwide to make the list, and one of only 2 locales in New England to be featured anywhere in the magazine.

T & L Golf Top Ten in the World!

American Express's Travel & Leisure Golf, one of the world's most respected and widely-read golf publications, has named Sunday River Golf Club as one of the Top Ten Best New Courses of 2005! The list was made up of golf clubs from Canada, Europe and the US.
