When the wooden bracket’s holding a ship’s cannon became loose, the recoil of firing would often send the huge barrel flying into the ship or its sailors.
Here on this short but difficult hole, plenty of problems await the player. The ever-tightening landing area is protected by a fairway bunker on the right. The second shot, although only a short iron, must be played with perfect strength to find the slightly elevated, sloping green.
