One of many types of ocean fog that would obscure a sailor’s view of what lay ahead.
A dogleg left, the Fifth begins with a picturesque but somewhat blind tee shot. The ball must be played to the right of the fairway; anything short or left will leave you blocked out by trees for your second. After descending the hill, that second shot requires nothing more than a short iron. Keep the ball below the hole for any realistic chance at birdie.
